How is watching someone else play a game the same as playing the game?
And where were all these developers and publishers 5 years ago when lets players and streamers weren't popular?
This is just plain greed. As others have said a lot of these lets players and streamers are popular because of the value they add, whether that's insight into game mechanics, walk throughs, how to's or simply comedic commentary etc.
The worse thing about all of this is the smaller guys are the ones who are most effected. Its not the pewdiepie's and the activision's that are going to be hit by any change in policy but the millions of smaller content providers and smaller game devs that actually thrive on the free publicity.
To all the people who agree with fish i say you lack perspective and dont truly understand the situation.
