I don't know, this seems similar to the rules for movies.  Like you can have your friends over for a movie nght and watch a DVD you bought, but if you get a bunch of people together and make them pay to see it and make a profit it's no longer legal unless you have those rights to the movie.  Video Games should probably work similarly.  And don't kid yourself about whether or not his viewers pay, being shown advertisements is a different form of paying for content, but it's paying for it none the less.  

Depends on the size of the people. They also did this in an episode of Regular Show. Mordicai and Ribgy rented a movie, and made their own movie theater. To pay for repair costs to the park. The network obiously didn't have a problem with the script. If you stick to laws, to the letter. People are doing illgeal things by just having a TV in a public place. Like a resturant, or bar. That's public proformance. Cosplayers would be arrested, etc. Under your interpritation isn't this site doing just that. Making money by "using" other companies.

While I enjoy Regular Show I can't say that it's always 100% accurate to reality.  I don't think a small operation would get caught or perhaps the law wouldn't be enforced in that instance that doesn't mean it's legal that simply means it's small enough that the content owners don't care to prosecute.  

Having a TV in a public place isn't too bad as long as you don't charge people simply to watch it, and it seems likely that there are avenues for restaurants and bars to have legit public licenses for their cable.  I've been told that restaurants and bars pay far more for their Cable than a standard person for their own home.  

Cosplayers seems like a stretch, that's something made inspired by the product but you are not just rebroadcasting the product as is and making money off of it.  

Still that episode could of been vetoed because it basically can be extruded as an illigeal act. The network could of pulled it. But didn't. They saw it for what it was. Nothing of harm. But companies have become dicks. Read a CD it says "do not lend" in the law fine print. They've gone that far in their BS. This issue really needs to be put to court and made a final descion on it. Simple as that. Till then, People shouldn't complain. Because then nothing would be allowed at all with this type of argument that keeps popping up. We don't know what Pewdiepie's network does behind the scene in the first place.
