Indeed, make a fantastic, innovative game that caters to gameplay and world elements that people asked for. No one buys it. Sounds like they just need to be another super linear game like FFX and FF13.

The problem is that it was a sequel to FF13. People hate FF13. People hate Lightning. Also people feel as though to enjoy Lightning Returns they had to play the previous 2 games. Maybe the game did deliver on what people were asking for gameplay wise, but it failed to deliver on other aspects. It really should have been a new game if it's really as good as you claim.

this. lets say the gameplay is good. ITs still tied to a story that nonsensical and a character people hate. When we talking JRPGs and i could only speak for myself and a few others. ALL those elements have to be good. we are talking about games that or 40 hours or more. If im dedicating that much time you bet your ass im going to care about more than gameplay
