Its more XOne's sales style that they caught up so fast. Microsoft's audience is the hardcore gamer who views sites like these. Those people are always gonna get their console of choice right away. They're the people who wait all night outside of stores to buy that console. Microsoft has that kind of gamer backing them. They buy up their consoles REALLY fast REALLY early. Nintendo has 3 audiences 1) Diehard Nintendo fans like myself, who like with other hardcore gamers, got the system as soon as they could. 2) Second console gamers. Nintendo is pretty much a given for anyone who is looking for a second console to get. 3) Casuals who don't even know that the Wii U is a different console. These people are unpredictable and hard to target, but Nintendo is trying. The fact that Microsoft is losing steam is a horrible sign for them. Their long-term audience are people who want the console to prove itself and make more games before they buy it. If Microsoft doesn't have a lot of games for it, there's not point then. If Microsoft releases everything on the PC as well, there's no point there either. Long-term forecasts I would give it to Nintendo anyday. They have way more going for them. |
you know what? this sounds like the argument of xbox vs GC and we all know how THAT turned out. So you think Wii U will beat Xbox1 in the long run? fair enough. BUt you dont have any evidence of that. and no your posts is not evidence. Im using actual numbers to back me up and they are saying that xbox1 will reach and pass Wii U eventually. Thing is i agree with you for the most part except for point 3, Ninty aint getting those casuals back that ship sailed and docked into port tablets a while ago. I would never have imagined years ago MS beating Ninty then xbox happened and ONE is happening now. If you are correct come find me ill be happy to be proven wrong in this regard.
