far less promise? LMAO. is that why xone has done better than WIi U in the same time frame than Wii U despite being more expensive? is that why Ubisoft games do better on xone than Wii U? |
Its more XOne's sales style that they caught up so fast. Microsoft's audience is the hardcore gamer who views sites like these. Those people are always gonna get their console of choice right away. They're the people who wait all night outside of stores to buy that console. Microsoft has that kind of gamer backing them. They buy up their consoles REALLY fast REALLY early.
Nintendo has 3 audiences
1) Diehard Nintendo fans like myself, who like with other hardcore gamers, got the system as soon as they could.
2) Second console gamers. Nintendo is pretty much a given for anyone who is looking for a second console to get.
3) Casuals who don't even know that the Wii U is a different console. These people are unpredictable and hard to target, but Nintendo is trying.
The fact that Microsoft is losing steam is a horrible sign for them. Their long-term audience are people who want the console to prove itself and make more games before they buy it. If Microsoft doesn't have a lot of games for it, there's not point then. If Microsoft releases everything on the PC as well, there's no point there either.
Long-term forecasts I would give it to Nintendo anyday. They have way more going for them.
