A lot of you guys that are in favor of the Redskins name are blowing this ruling completely out of proportion. They're not banning anything, they're simply stating that they will not honor any trademark claims to the name. Are any of you even capable of understanding that?
Also, just because you're not offended by the name, or have some "friend" who happens to be Native American who isn't offended by it, doesn't mean that it isn't a derogatory term. How about you put on a Redskins hat with the logo and name on it and go to a Native American reservation. Once you're there, I would love it if you would go up to each and every Native American you see and tell them, "Hey, this is not offensive to your race." Or how about you greet every Native American with, "Good morning Red Skin."
