Wow ok. So you obviously only see the first week as way to make money. But if Marip ends up selling more overall in 3 month span who ends up maing more profits. You seem to forget Watch Dogs on PS4 has 2 million so it should outsell Mario Kart in the first week. Already said it would its common sense.

It's not how I see it, it's how the industry sees it. It's generally true as well.

Well Im glad Nintendo doesnt see it that way. See for the most part they are a profitable company and can afford down years like last year. Meanwhile other companies can barely stay afloat.

You're not understanding. I'm talking about the reality of retail. It's generally, as in most of the time but not necessarily always, that games will sell more in their first week than the rest of their time on the market. It's where the idea of "long legs" comes from. Most games don't have long legs, some do. It could be that mario kart 8 has longer legs than watch dogs. I'm not sure if I see that happening. I  don't think either will.
