Maybe it's just me but I don't check to see if the "A Team" made a game before I decide if it's good or not.  As for expecting the same budget as a PS3 or PS4 game, are you kidding?  Vita games cost $20 less a copy and they're not going to sell as many units.  Of course the budget is relative to that.

Sony isn't going to make more big western games because A) those games don't sell well in Japan and B) they will do nothing to help the Vita in North America.  North America isn't going to buy the Vita no matter what.  If excellent games like Killzone or Tearaway didn't make a difference then probably nothing will.  That's the reality.

Personally, as long as they keep delivering the big games from Japan, I will be content.

Also, kind of a pet peeve, but I keep seeing people blaming SCEA.  SCEA doesn't make games.

Sorry you don't like any developers enough to follow their products.  I hardly find any myself nowadays.   ND USED to be one.  I never made a comment on if those games were good or not(I most certainly could having played them). I was refering to the size of the investment the games Sony did decide to have made for the platform represented.  A game from Bend simply isn't gonna cost the same(or be advertised and hyped the same) as a game from Naughty Dog. They are in different classes so to speak thus the Ateam vs Bteam comparison.

When people complain about not having enough games on their home consoles such as loss heavy PS3 Sony responded by putting out an a large quantity of diverse high quality games on a level no one knew Sony was capable of.  Complete opposite reaction when the hardware is profitable and the games only cost 2/3rds as much to make.  Vita games can't sell that well only because they are never at retail and they never recieve advertising(often stealth released beyonce style with no beyonce style name and acclaim to go with), never exclusive.... For the effort put into the system it's games still sell pretty well.

That is your perception of reality.  In reality Sony never made big western games for handhelds. Even for PSP outside of Japan they contracted them out to smaller studios and even in Japan came from 3rd parties outside of GT. Killzone and Tearaway were not big(both being just 1/3 to a half of an A team studio).  They still would have helped much more if Sony didnt sabotage them and put them out right before GTA5 and Next gen consoles repsectively. Or god forbid just advertise them or bundle them like a publisher whom wants their games to sell.

I'm pleased that big Japanese games are enough for you.  I am not nearly so impressed with Japan's output that it will satisfy my gaming needs personally.

SCEA refers to SCE WWS that are in America just as SCEE refers to SCE WWS that are in Europe and SCEJ refers to SCE WWS that are in Japan.  This is really common jargon around here so petpeeve or not you will continue to hear it.
