Curious about the hype for Bayonetta

Bayonetta is the worst Platinum Games' game, in my eyes. It's brilliant, but I personally prefer Vanquish, Anarchy Reigns, Madworld, The Wonderful 101 and Metal Gear Rising over it. Never played their DS game.
