What would have been good investments ?

Something more appealing?  Hard to say without knowing what was on the table.  If we are talking about future m rated games that I am interested in, then I would say games like witcher 3, dragon age, division, far cry, etc.  however, I doubt any of them were in play for nintendo. 

All those are multiplatforms games that would most likely end up as a inferior port on the Wii U. I think it's better for Nintendo to invest in quality exclusives.

Yeah, I was talking about aquiring them as exclusives, or something like them.   Of course, like I said, im sure none of those games were available to nintendo, but you asked me what would have been a good investment... Without knowing what investments were available it is hard to say...

what I do know is I would have never signed off on an idea like w101, game looked doomed from the start.  I also wouldnt have signed off on bayonetta 2, a game whose sales never matched its reviews because it had limited appeal to the mass market...  Nintendo is going to lose money on both...
