DMC rewards you with the combo system and has the DT. Advanced players keep themselves busy by jump canceling, parrying and keeping combos up aswell as not getting hit once during entire missions.
NG (at an advanced) level came down to wall jump slashes, and absorbing essence right after landing on the floor from a jump to use an UT as efficiently as possible .
DMC has an over the top, over dramatic, ridiculous story that can still be enjoyed.
NG's story is pure crap.
Both games are great but I'd have to give DMC1,3, and 4 nod. We will see how NG2 does.
