It's a classic and a decent installment in the series (at least X). I'm not surprised that it'd see a decent to good sales rate considering such, and the Vita is/was starved, so you have owners with nothing to use the system on. Compare as such to the 3DS which, even while having a lack luster year of releases, has a massive library that can keep players from being starved.

What I'm more susprised by is the lack of legs on BDefault.

Got some evidence to back up Vita owners are game starved whilst 3DS owners are overrun with software? Metacritic suggests the opposite is now the case despite being on the market for a shorter period. ;)

FFX/X2 is a port which was also released on PS3. So if Vita owners wanted Vita version, why wouldn't they want Vita versions of the other software (which is normally dismissed as irrelevant to the library due to also being available on other formats?). Vita owners have plenty of great games to play ^_^

I don't believe I ever used the word "overrun". The Vita has a very large but niche filled library, just look on metacritic and start counting the anime-esc games. Its a niche console in how its being handled irregardless of the volume of games that are pumped out, which leads to a limited library for selection. That is all I meant (and is why I retired my Vita, the selection of games became boring or lacking).

As for FFX, consider that its the only avaiable FF game on the console. (Unless I missed one.) That would easily explain why people who, may or may not own a PS3, would buy it on the Vita. Its an RPG classic brand with a classic and good game. Why not?
