Well, I think the answer could be yes, it doesn't have to be yes in a negative way as the OP paints it out to be. It's a Nintendo title, so the awareness of it will instantly be shot up a few notches. It's also exclusive, so there's another bump. But the same happens on MicroSony consoles.
We only saw a small sample of the game, so a bit early to dismiss it as an eShop looking title imho. I think it looks fun, and unique for a shooter. You might be right that The Division is deeper and more complex, but there are also many other shooters out there that can satisfy what The Division would satisfy.
