EC 2016 should be their goal.. think they are missing one or two attacking worldclass players.. While Hazard is great he needs to have one step more to come to a level like Robben. He'll be at that level in 2016.. then they have their chance.. and I also think Januzai will be a force to be recon with by then.. 2 years under van Gaal at ManU.. Also they are pretty new to playing in a big tournament so in 2016 they'll have the experience of this World Cup..

Exactly my thoughts. I hope Januzaj will increase dramatically with Van Gaal since that guy is just Ballon D'or material just like Hazard. Lukaku needs to go to another club that will give him the trust that Mourinho won't.

Hazard, Januzaj, Lukaku, De Bruyne and Courtois have the potential to become legends. I don't know if we can consider Kompany already a legend at ManCity? But he'll still be at the top for at least another 5 years. And of course don't forget all the other players who are very good like Mertens, Vertonghen, Chadli, Dembele etc.

Edit: With legend I mean legendary football players that have indeed the level of Pirlo, Robben, Drogba etc.

think Courtois and Kompany are at that level.. they should maintain that in the next 2 year..

What wrong with your youth system? Mertens, Vertonghen, Chadli, Dembele , Aldewereld, Vermaelen, they all played in the Netherlands when they were younger..

The Netherlands has a far better youth development for football players. I moved from the Netherlands to Belgium myself and they just took the joy of playing football here from me and my brother. My brother got selected as a youngster for FC Twente and he trained frequently. In the end my parents made the decision to move and we thought that with his capabilities that he would be able to go and play for Anderlecht after a while, but first to get back into condition etc. we played for an amateur team in Brussels for a year since in Brussels they have specific timeframes to do test in clubs (point 1, that is fucked up).

So once we joined a club me and my brother got to play in the same team and they treated us like piece of trash with a piece of shit racist coach (He was Arabian Moroccan and I am Berber Moroccon and he always said mean stuff about me and us). Sometimes that coach seperated us from the rest to train with two others and the only thing we would do was either stretch, run and pass the ball while others were doing real exercises (point 2, people in charge without education or real experience). Even if we were stronger and technically more advanced than the others. We hardly were allowed to play any games and if we were then the coach would just leave us as substitutes. My father was working in the Netherlands and only my mother was with us so she wasn't really able to enforce anything. We neared the end of the year and really didn't liked the football here (on the streets and at school it is always fun but here in clubs they sucked the joy out of us). When we neared the middle/end my father was pissed at the organization and because of that we were able to fully play a game because the real coach was sick (Hooray!!). We won 6-1 and my brother marked 2 and I scored one as well and the other goals my brother and I gave the assists. I explained to the the stand-in that we were going to leave this club and join another one and he understood why, he didn't wanted that to happen.

So went to another club and we needed to do a test. A very stupid test because the people that got selected were the sons of the coaches and staff. The weird thing was that this whole network of staff and coaches knew eachother. This was our reason for not be able to play anymore since we, on paper, never have left our former clubs because the organization didn't send in the documents of us quitting. (point 3, worst organization ever). So far for us ever playing football again. My father insisted Anderlecht to let my son participate and they accepted after calling FC twente in the Netherlands for confirmation. He played two full games and trained with the pre-selection. But he didn't got a place because of .... the coach who preferred the son of a friend. The staff were shocked about that decision as well which is the weirdest part.

In Brussels it is terrible. Luckily Vincent Kompany wants to change all that with his own football club and expansion. In the Netherlands they have very sophisticated development and clubs and even if you're not that good you can always play for fun. Here it was more agony and stress.

I still enjoy playing football though with my friends at the university without any hassle and I'm glad I still have fun in that. Could have gone totally different.

Sorry for my very long story. I just felt that I needed to express that :)
