So he wasn't banned for the feedback but for breaching the end user agreement. So it's pretty much on him.
Banning him though was probably the worst option for Microsoft. Now that issue is out in the open and they're in for bad press again. If they just thanked for the feedback it would've gone away.
Sometimes I think Microsoft doesn't know how the internet works.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
