Photorealism in video games isn't really my cup of tea. Not that I have an issue with people who enjoy it, but I find more cartoonish or anime styles appeal to me far more. I'm personally very impressed with the style chosen for Zelda U. It seems very colorful, which is something I associate with the franchise. It really helps to draw a contrast between light and dark, one of the main themes of the series. I think it's harder to pull that off with photorealism in the vein of the new Uncharted game, at least to the extent I'm expecting.
