What do you guys think about Valve´s new handheld Steamboy? It´s way more powerful than the Vita.

http://www.gamrreview.com/news/91642/steam-machine-handheld-in-the-works/

Is the Vita really doomed now?

Vita was always doomed by the lack of Sony support, specially SCEA. I'm not sure about this new handheld, it won't have a single exclusive title but it will feature a very nice library of games, so it sales performance will be very interesting to watch and hopefully it will be a massive. Also, no d-pad? No thumbsticks? Not sure if this handheld is my thing and I'm a massive handheld fan!

I don't think it can sell even half of what Vita has sold.

Sounds expensive, battery life will suck, and  I don't think It will receive many exclusvie games.

Yeah I don't see it selling well, but I would actually like to see it selling tons of hardware just to show Sony not all hope is lost when it comes to handhelds.

3DS is prove enough that the handheld market is still strong.

Right now Vita sells so poorly for two reasons:

1. It's expensive. $199 is way too much expensive for the games it offers. You may say it has a lot of "horsepower," but how many games show its actual graphic power? I'd say 0. Not even KZ: M.

2. Sony doesn't know how market it. I'm sure Vita's 2014 software is one of the best a handheld has ever received. As good as 2013 for 3DS.  And people still thinks "it haz no gamez."
