It has been done. I mean, I do own a 360 anyway. I just needed a reason to get an XBO, and now I have one. As I always get every console anyway, my purchasing decisions are largely based on pragmatic reasons. I got a Wii U first because Nintendo. I got a PS4 before I got an XBO since it was less expensive, multiplats generally run better, it has more indies, and because Bungie is treating the PS4 as the lead system for Destiny (the alpha was fun). And I planned on getting an XBO eventually for Halo, and other MS exclusives to a lesser extent. I do like Gears, and I'm also glad Crackdown is getting a proper sequel (which Crackdown 2 was not; it was a reskin of the first game with new missions & enemies). Last generation I got a 360 first because of Halo, because multiplats generally ran better, and because it was less expensive than the PS3. Then I got a Wii because Nintendo. And while I don't technically own a PS3 of my own yet, my roommate/BFF has one and I mainly play exclusives on it (though I'm seriously backlogged and have missed a lot of titles, because I didn't have the money).

Anyway, hope you enjoy Halo, I'll be joining the Xbox ownership when the inevitable slim model comes out.
