So Nvidia is the Apple of graphics cards.  I help build the Mac Pro in my manufacturing job but I could build an equal or better computer than the Mac Pro for 1/2 the price (although they do have a weird design factor compared to the normal motherboard config).  Companies gotta love when they get put into this situation (able to sell product for more just because of their brand name) but eventually more and more people might realize they can get better or just as good of a product for 1/2 the price.  Example: Sony decline in TV market which they once dominated with the Trinitron in the CRT days.  People realized that they could get a Samsung, LG, Toshiba, etc LCD/LED of equal quality for way less money.
