Handheld gamers wanted a handheld game to come out on a handheld platform. More importantly, they wanted a Western release of an existing game for a format they have access to.

This again misses the fact that the game already existed on the format they wanted it on. It wasn't asking for a new game to be made. I don't really understand what is so difficult to grasp in this.

The only real equivalent scenario I could think of, would be SMT IV finally getting announced for Europe, then them saying it's coming to PS4/XB1.

As a Vita owner myself. I would have liked for Vita to come. However, we're not entitled for a Vita release. A lot of these "Fans" are freaking out saying they hope SE fails or Type-0 fails? This is really pathetic. As FF fans we should be happy it's coming at all. Luckily, there's a fan translation for the "portable" people.

Square-Enix is a business, if they seen a reason to release it on Vita. It would be coming. Hell if the manfacturer doesn't want to support the damn thing, why would Square?
