Well, multiplats certainly aren't interesting games, so they are a waste of time.

The question that people are asking is "Why should I buy a Nintendo console?", multiplatform games would only matter if someone asked "Why should a Nintendo console be the only one I'll buy this generation?", but hardly anybody does that.

What? The only question I've ever asked was "does this console have a lot of games I'm interested in?" that's about it. Why are multiplats uninteresting? Not sure if I get the logic...

If people really feel the way you do, it's no wonder this console war BS is so prevalent

What do multiplatform games mean for your question in regards to a Nintendo presentation? I am pretty sure it's irrelevance.

Picture this situation: I'm a gamer who really likes his COD (spend 75% of my gametime on it) and Mass effect but have an interest in Mario, Zelda and Smash from childhood fondness. I only have money for one console. Won't the Wii U make the most sense to me since it has my primary game which is multiplat along with other games I'm interested in?

Matter of fact, most people I know are like this  not necessarily interested in exclusives. My former roommate is a more casual gamer who owns a 360 and every single game he owns  is multiplat. His favorite series is Assasin's Creed, a multiplat series. Never asked him why he bought a 360 in particular but it seems like he just got it originally because it was cheaper.
