I haven't seen any videos that makes them look OP.
I think a main problem for the monster users is they don't take advantage of the penalty element. Each time someone is killed, they get a strike. The first two strikes each take off chunks of max health, so if you have 2 strikes, your max health is like 60-70% of what it normally is. And then, you immediately die when you are downed.
What the monster needs to do is work on getting some of these strikes on the enemy team so that when the final battle takes place, it's a lot harder for the hunter team to stick around. I only saw a couple of monsters try this strategy during E3, and it was always one of the developers at the sticks. The journalists and gamers in the tourney all pretty much did the same thing, sneak around and get to level 3 as the monster, then have the big final battle at the generator.
The only thing that seemed kind of overpowered was the Lazarus medic and his device that can revive a dead teammate. But apparently the TRS team is already fiddling with him and balancing him. He has a longer fire time for the device than at E3, it has a longer cooldown once used, and when his cloak is broken, it takes longer for him to cloak again.
Can't wait. You can still play either of the L4D games and have a great time with a good community. I expect the same kind of ridiculous replay factor for this game.
