Is it though? I've been living in the Uk for 5 years and constantly had problems with my broadband. I've been using virgin most of the time, but from what I've heard from friends who have other providers, like talktalk, it's actually worse. Could be wrong of course, but that's the impression I got.

BT infinity.  75meg down, 20meg up.  Never had a sinlge problem, ever.

Oh man. I had no idea. I think I once heard something bad about BT and after that never really considered using them. Plus whenever I would use sites that suggest the best broadband in your area, Bt was never that high. Sky was usually a bit higher than BT and almost every student I know has virgin.

Oh well, I guess if I do stay longer, I'll switch to BT. Thanks for the info, man.

i'd say BT is the most reliable and surely cable from virgin/BT would be a good choice and sky
