Compared to the Xbox One yes Call of duty sold better on the Ps4 but the Xbox 360 version sold the best. Install base does have a big part on how well a game will do on that system but if a game is exclusivly advertised for just one consoles 9/10 times it well sell best on that console its being advertised for. Which is why Wtach Dogs did the best on the PS4. If Install base was all that mattered it would have sold the best on the 360.

U sure it has nothing to do with PS4 having nearly 2x the install base. PS3 and X360 have near the same install base and near the same sales. PS4 has 2x the install base of the X1 and 2x the sales of Watch Dogs.

I believe that if Watch Dogs had no exclusive deal and was just released that the sales would be much closer then they are now. Yes it would have still sold better on the PS4 but I dont think it would have pushed as much on the Ps4 and defiantly wouldnt have pushed as many consoles. The exclusive marketing and bundle in some areas pushed a lot of units. A similar scenario will happen with all the games Sony has marketing deals with this holiday which is why they'll have a huge holiday.
