Will gameplay actually look like this though? Naughty Dog started the whole thing where they show you footage from a PS4 system...but the game doesnt really look like that during actual gameplay.
Also, every gaming website calls the footage CGI :/ If this is gameplay then theres a MASSIVE misconception going around. General feeling around the trailer was that it was underwhelming.

I don't know where you look at, but that's certainly not the consensus anywhere.
It's been confirmed by Corrine Yu that this footage was captured on a PS4 running those graphics in real time.

Even Eurogamer had doubts about it being real time. Their article hasnt really changed.
I've also watched a lot of impression videos from famous youtubers and a lot of them say its a teaser trailer in CGI....similar to bloodborne etc.
Hey im pretty impressed by the trailer i thought it was amazing....but i also had initial doubts about it being in game. Once i did some more research i saw it was in game from an actual level confirmed by ND...im just saying most impression videos and articles i have read have not been amazed by the vid because they either dont believe its real time or they think its CGI...unless i am horribly mistaken and have a wrong impression.

As for the rest of what you wrote, that's certainly not the impression I had everywhere. But just like anything else, there's always the XBox camp trying to troll what was shown. Especially on Youtube.
The media though, are pretty much in awe with the footage. I don't know what site (s) you read, but they (it) certainly don't represent the general reaction to this real time footage.

I'm not saying the impressions have been bad though...im saying theres been lots of questions over whether this is in real time or not. Even GAF doubted it...
You really havent seen this around the net?
Once people realise its in real time then yeah they are pretty blown away
