And what is your point. Linearity is not a bad thing especially for a story based game. Like most shooters and action games (with some exceptions) they will be heavily linear. That's the way I like just like a books and movies. Tell the story with a clear ending. As long as there is some freedom to explore, I'll be very happy. This game is not supposed to be like GTA. Isn't that clear by now? There is no problem here except with your premise that all good games need to stay away from a straight forward approach.
