At the same time, pre-rendered or not, the game experience will not be affected in any way by that. If you look at Metal Gear Solid for instance where you can move the camera around or zoom in in few cut scene, this is really not a big game changer and the majority of people does not even know they can do that.

Why this seems to be a big deal for few?

Actually it will.... imagine you are playing a game like say Halo? and its an open world version of the game with character customization. Pre-rendered cutscenes will mean that whatever customizations you have made to your character will never be reflected in the cutscene. You can have your character all decked in some mythical black armour that you spent five days trying to beat a level to get, only to get into a cutscene and be right back to the green amour, then after the cutscene you will see yourself in black. It breaks immersion.
