But looking like Link would be the entire point. The legend that is passed down fits the looks of this character, so that's why he/she is assumed to be the designated hero; being able to handle a bow and thus being a fighter helps too. Why is this character righthanded when the Gamepad is going to be used as the controller?

Link is probably a bit clumsy, hence why it wasn't him who was assumed to be the designated hero. But due to circumstance, his fate begins to change. Such a build-up has been integrated in almost all Zelda games.

Yeah I guess you're right. That would be a cool story (and twist), and coming to think about it, it almost always seem like Link is the unexpected hero - even though Nintendo never really quite delved that much into it at depths. It would be cool to see a story where they explore that a bit more. Link rises up to the occasion because he HAS to, even though he's a bit on the lazy side to begin with. I've always kinda liked that with Link. He's kind of a nobody that does what needs to be done, even if he's afraid. That's why he "earns" the Triforce of Courage. But that's just me reading way too much into Link as a character I guess :P

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
