The Wii is selling too well to casuals and gamers for anyone to say that console gaming is primed to die. Sure, there might be great tech out there and coming that stir the PC crowd hopefuls, but if the mass consumers do not solidify that hope with the intensity that they are buying the Wiis, it just will not happen. Now, had the Wii not existed, yes, the PC market more likely would have had the chance to break the 360, PS3 mentality within the next generation or two, which is why Nintendo, at the beginning of Wii's life, touted that the game industry was headed for another game industry crash and that it needed to "change" in order to recapture people's attention.
