The X1 being that low is not good for MS. I think that $399 will do nothing so let's say that happens. What does MS do? Another price cut? More bundles? Give up? |
Now there is the real question! I always thought unbundling Kinect would do nothing when the PS4 is cheaper and better supported. Honestly I see 2 options for MS if Xbox One continues to flounder:
1) Continue on their current path and be happy with 30-40m sold LTD. Probably cancel the Xbox Division, spin it off or sell it.
2) Dig in and get aggressive. Drop the price by $50 this holiday season and bundle Halo or Sunset. Start buying up studios that can pump out great games and prepare for the next gen.
