And you ask me why I have a problem? You completely deny reality and just create your own. Those MMOs are nothing like Destiny at all! Those are MMORPGS! They are a completely different GENRE of game! You may as well compare sports games to MMOs! You're taking one aspect and saying, "hey that's an mmo-esque thing" and then calling the game an mmo. Honestly, the closest game you could say is an MMORPG is EVE Online. It's literally the closest thing to an mmo, yet is still vastly different from destiny and mmos in general. The MMORPGs you listed all have these things in common: Destiny has none of these things. This from the wiki: MMORPGs are thought of as a real life simulator. You are taking the character to as much realism as possible. Eating, Sleeping, Questing, meeting people, having a job....even running errands. Destiny is so far from that. It's just a huge world with a lot of people playing and casually introduced into your game. It's actually more like Journey than anything else. In journey, you never know who the player who just joined you is. They just join. Sometimes they might get too far ahead and the game breaks off the connection and connects someone else to you. All the while, you have no idea that connections are happening. Whenever I've had someone play the game for the first time, they've never realized that they were playing with almost a dozen different online players. They always thought it was the same person the whole game. |
Still better examples than any of the games you cited, especially Journey.
And it seems you really consider Destiny to be already Free to Play.
I'd like to take you seriously but it's not easy.
