Destiny is like Titanfall. It will sell well at first but it's not the type of game that will change the situation. Games like Destiny have never tracked that high on sales numbers. The best FPS games of all time have trouble breaching the 10 million sales mark, why should destiny be any different. At best it will give a short boost to whatever numbers Sony is already getting with the PS4.

Nintendo however is exactly the type of company who can turn things around with even a single game. It's the benefit of being the most innovative company and its the proof that they are the innovative one.

All Nintendo had to do this E3 was ride the high they had going for them after Mario Kart's release. They planned that release date to just before E3 and they did it because they knew they had to go for the win this time.

Call of Duty seems to disagree with you.

Oh what a massive breach of 10 milliion that is, a whole 14 million on a single console during the prime of its lifetime.  The greatest selling FPS of all time sold 14 million....  Wii Fit sold 22 million.  Mario Kart Wii sold 35 million.  Yes I am not combining console sales from across multiple platforms since we are talking about single platforms here.  Destiny isn't call of duty so I am betting it sells around 7 or 8 million if it's lucky.  Most of those probably already have the console btw.

Titanfall is at 3 million, MGS4 did 6 million, The Last of Us did 4.5 million, Uncharted 2 and 3 did about 6.3 million each.  Are you saying that Destiny, a completely new franchise which may or may not even get a good review is gonna beat all of those?  Keep in mind this is a new game with new mechanics and the games I listed were reusing old code and had many of their bugs ironed out already.  Old franchises sell better than new ones at that.  You are completely ignoring all of this and think its gonna blow up the console scene?
