There were no RPG's and many many things were missing. No God of War 4, no new trailers on Drive Club, no Battle Royale 2, no price cuts for PS3 or Vita, etc. There were no racing, RPG, or fighting games--my favorite genres. Only Bloodborn and Playstation TV was interesting. Littlebigplanet 3? C'mon Sony! Little support for Vita. With the largest number of games studios, they should be ashamed. A sad show and pathetic effort. I give them a D-. Microsoft: Even though I'm anti-Microsoft, I am also honest. Microsoft beat Sony. First was the Xbox One price cut. They showed great agressive action here. They had a new Halo along with a Halo collection. They had a racing game! Being Forza Horizens 2. They had Fable Legends--my favorite--an RPG! They also had a fighting game: Killer Instinct 2. They had better coverage of different genres. Still, there was not enough overall new games, just like the other 2 companies. I give them a B-. Nintendo: They had better variety than Sony. Mario maker was kinda interesting. They had fighting covered with Smash Bros., They had an RPG for Wii U: X. It looks exciting. They just released Mario Kart, so I'll let them pass on racing. Hyrule Warriors is a fine looking game. Zelda U had great graphics. They are bringing back Starfox. Sadly, I didn't see the expected Metroid. Also, where is the next true 3D Mario? Mario Universe or Galaxy 3. I also didn't care for that Yoshi yarn game. Little attention to 3DS and no price cut for either system was disappointing. I give them a C+. My verdict: Microsoft won E3. Now I must go cry. |
WAIT WHAT?, Bloodborne is an RPG... and we already got leaked gameplay and we know that it plays exactly like the souls series and its also being made by Miyasaki who directed both Demons Souls and Dark Souls easily two of the greatest RPGS of last gen... in other words Bloodborne looks like its gona be to PS4 what Demons Souls was to the PS3, an amazing game (which is an RPG).
also this game is being made in japan with two great japanese studios (From Software and SCEJ) so depending on how you want to look at it, you may consider it to be a JRPG (because of the minds behind the game) or a western RPG (because it doesnt have that anime feel to it and over the top plots with... welll you know that japanese vibe they get into those games, which i love by the way).
