My list of things that would make me excited and would make me pick up Wii U:
- price cut of $70 (I'm not gonna lie, this one is mandatory for me if I am to buy a Wii U before I buy a PS4)
- a "mature" Zelda U (stuff like the tech demo would be sweet)
- a Metroid Prime 4 or Trilogy HD
- an open-world Skyrim scale Pokemon RPG with Game Pad acting as your Pokedex
- Xenoblade HD
- gameplay of X
- gameplay of SMTxFE
- the new Miyamoto IP actually being exciting
- Nintendo Medals system (aka trophies/achievements)
- a survival horror (Eternal Darkness 2 anyone?)
- a Rogue Squadron-like game, preferably a new Rogue Squadron obviously ;) Love those games!
They won't win me over showing Mario Kart 8 or Smash. I already know about them and it's not enough for me (I love MK, but don't care about Smash, don't understand why people are so crazy about it). All in all, while I know they will be showing Mario, I mean - they have to, they should let him stay kinda on the side for a moment there. Wii U is too much of a Mariobox at this point and it isn't selling, the have to go a different route and change the main pulling force for some time. If they are to give us a Mario game, let it at least be a Mario RPG remake/sequel.
So, the more stuff Nintendo does that is on this list, the higher their chance of me picking up their console this year :)
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
