Their is a reason God Of War is the bes-selling hack and slash series. It is incredible. You should play it.
It would make you love Sony.

I did play it... I played 1-3 and it was mindless fun but it wasn't that fun imo.. Like without trying to start anything, it was just simple hack and slash with QTEs which is good but not great... It had some awesome moments like the size of some of the gods and etc but it felt like something was missing and I hated Kratos's ugly face... I like games like DMC, Beyonatta, Ninja Gaiden etc where it requires more skill (imo) and the combos are plentiful and there is this certain style to them. But it might just be taste more than anything else
Oh and I am a Nintendo fanboy but that doesn't mean I don't have Sony consoles... Sony has a special place in my heart cause of their third party jrpgs

I'm kind of in the opposite boat, I enjoyed god of war because it brought a good story and atmosphere to the otherwise stagnant genre, not to mention an entirely new level of gratuitous violence. Then games like dmc and bayonette (ninja gaiden is better gameplay-wise, though it still doesn't hold a candle to god of war to me) are all flash and no substance. I would agree they may take a bit more skill to master but I felt so underwhelmed by the experience of the games that I didn't care to put the energy into it.
Though I do believe Santa Monica may need to distance themselves from the franchise a bit, or maybe just kratos and move on to a different protagonist.

Maybe eventually they will bring back God Of War 4.
It's hard for me to believe they will pass on such a popualr game.
