But to clarify, how will multiplat support affect the PS4, will it have multiplat support similar to that of the PS2? The OG XBOX and GC had about equivalent amount of third party support, but this time around Wii U has virutally none, and the XB1 has a lot more, hence the repeat of 6th gen with these variations.

Playstation has always had unrivaled multiplat support, I don't see any special connection to gen 6.  3rd parties have always sold better than Sony 1st party...Sony 1st party has never been big.

In Gen 6 it also had exclusive Grand Theft Auto (for a time), Final Fantasy and other major titles.  That is different now.
