Statistically there are probably more gamers now with jobs and spending money. As far as the pool of potential buyers go it's possible. Ps2 brought a lot of previously unseen things to the table and made it really easy for customers. Plus they had no real competition at the time, at least not near same level like it is now. Then they had awesome games like GTA III. I think it's too split between the four. Might be close tho. It won't be able to do it without games tho. If they keep bringing in devs like NaughtyDog to bring great exclusives to the table then they could probably do it.
