| Onyxmeth said: First of all, almost every single poster over the last three months that has had to claim the PS3 has the best lineup this year has included Gran Turismo 5, not Prologue, the real thing. Do you need me to dredge up a few topics to prove it? There was barely a single one of you that thought GT5 wouldn't come out this year until it was finally announced. There's some of you that still can't get it into your heads that Final Fantasy XIII isn't making this year either. Not to mention people that still have high hopes on The Getaway, Heavy Rain and Eight Days making it out this year, let alone at all. The fact still remains that Sony cannot keeps deadlines or a proper yearly lineup. The only reason 08 looks so good to begin with is because 4 games took the plunge from 07 to 08, and none of them got delayed into 08 until the end of the year 07. The fact that 08 games are getting pushed back so early is showing me that PS3 Dommination may need to be pushed back to the year 2009. The problem to me is Sony PR needing to throw out release dates to compete when developers obviously can't make those dates. It doesn't help that Sony decides to release too much info on games that are in their infancy, like Eight Days, Heavy Rain, The Getaway and Killzone 2. Now please let me know if I need to find topics that prove how many people on this board thought GT5 was coming out this year. Or Eight Days. Or The Getaway. Or Final Fantasy XIII. Or Heavy Rain. |
The devs of Heavy Rain have stated a Fall '08 release date since the beginning. :|
As for the others, they've been in the "2009+" section of my ps3 exclusives thread since I first put it up weeks ago, and so far nobody has disagreed. :P
Edit: And I'm not quite sure how GG saying "take any release date that's not directly from us with a grain of salt" suddenly confirms the game as coming in 2009. Just over the past week GG added "Coming in 2008" to the front page of Killzone.com, when before they wouldn't mention even a possible year.
