After beating Elite mode, I must say, while I enjoy Shadow Fall's single-player for the most part, I do agree that there's too many non-shooting sequences in the campaign that are only there to show off "dem gwafix!" Also, the campaign does get very linear later in the game and the shooting can get monotonous. By the way, I can't tell which campaign is better, Killzone 1 or Killzone: Shadow Fall as Killzone 1 tends to suffer from its underwhelming gameplay and cheap deaths while Shadow Fall suffers from being a launch title that is well, graphics. The multiplayer is very good though, and I'm playing the heck out of it like any Killzone game (Except Killzone 1 as I was never interested in Killzone back then), and I'm coming close to the platinum with over 200 hours in record. Overall, Killzone: Shadow Fall's campaign, compared to 2 and 3, is quite lacking despite its next-gen (If you can call it that) paint. But with multiplayer that is just as good 2 and 3, Shadow Fall is worth your money if that's what you're interested in, and don't worry, there's Botzone if you want to play the multiplayer without the need for internet or when the servers shut down ;)
