Just as I have said before.....
The PS5 and XBox2(?) will simply be upgraded versions of this generation. Faster CPU/GPU with 16GB of Ram... DDR5(6) for both. It will run all X1 and PS4 games. It will be more like PC as far as upgrade works. New games will have 2 MODES.. Normal mode and Ultra Mode. Ultra will be for the PS5 and X2 only and will run games at 4K resolution. Might even be possible the games will STILL play on X1 and PS4 .. just in normal mode at 1080p or less.
These consoles will still maintain optical drives for those who want to play older games.. but will also offer disc-less version for the all digital crowd.
Could easily see these hit the market in less then 5 years.. Since its not a HARD transition like this generation.. They will simple stop making the PS4 and X1 and the new consoles will be all that is available.
