X is a bit worse when it comes linearity. You have some towns to visit and some annoying ass dungeon challenges..stuff (forgot what they were called) but overall the game is pretty much one straight line with a few twists and turns and dungeons.. At least there was Gran Pulse in XIII.
But over all, X is still the better game because it had better story, soundtrack, characters, customization, and rage inducing bosses
took me hours to finish last boss.. ;_;
