Because by backing you receive the game (+ get your name in the credits) for probably a lower price than what it will cost at launch.

Additionally Ynnis Interactive will be able to make a better game by receiving higher funding.

Hmm, a difficult dilemma. Save money and gain fame, but also help the consolites in some small way, or pay a little extra without betraying my values and my race.
