Unless you're talking about looks, then you can as most possible stat combinations are available from the get go! Also, I don't really think there is a bad combo as all stats are useful, yes even weight and traction!

Yeah guess they are. 'Weight' I always feel is actually pretty useful, but I try to find a combination that still gives me a decent acceleration and fits my style of steering. I should've said I'm still searching frantically for a good kart right now, because that was more what I actually meant. Finally got something that fits me perfectly in MK7 and now I gotta do it all over again in MK8 .

Won't stop me from joining a tournament soon in any way !
