Your GOTY, can totally understand that. I know for me, if Mirror's Edge 2 or Uncharted 4 release in 2015, unless they fail miserably, those two already have reserved spots.
Overall, it's fun to speculate, but even 2014's GOTY isn't set in stone at this point and as I said, this game will certainly be one that will at least have nominations for GOTY.

Yep I can agree with you there, Mirrors Edge 2 and Uncharted 4 are VERY high up on my list as well and I can't knock you for those choices at all. I just LOVE the Witcher games.

Uncharted would have to go open world to compete with the Witcher 3 imo.
I dont know about you guys but going open world in a game like the Witcher, where things are not procedurally generated, is taking shit to another level.

Thats one of the main reasons why the Witcher 3 has gotten people so excited. It's not like Skyrim. Every aspect of the world is given full attention.
Open world games often lack something because its tough to fill up the world with meaningful things. Thats why rockstar take so long to create GTA and its also why they are so revered. Its the attention to detail on an open world scale that really impresses people. And naturally theres a dynamic element to open world games that generally can't be matched by linear games.
