I don't think they have rated Prologue based on the fact that it is a Prologue and costs half the price of a normal game. Surely this should give it more brownie points and surely Lasting Appeal should have been graded based on the FACT that this is a prologue to the real game and is half the price.
Also, they state that you will tire of the tracks, yet there is more in the game than some full-priced games, yet give it a 7.
I reckon they should be scoring the Overall score at over 9 to be honest, if price is to play a part. |
That would be a stupid way to rate the game. This game should be reviewed just like any other game. If it doesn't have the lasting appeal as other games, then you give a high score like the other games. If they gave a 9, you'd be saying it's right there with Smash Brothers in lasting appeal. |
I second that. Some $10 Wii shovelware should get bigger score as well. |
Well I just don't really think that lasting appeal is a particually good category, there should be something more along the lines of value for money. Because obviously if you compare its lasting appeal too many full priced games then it is going to struggle, but you are paying half as much (in the UK at least) so you would expect half as much content |
All reviewing sites and magazines dumped Wii Sports into the 70s because it was "too short", "shallow", "repetitive". And it's free with the console which should warrant a score of at least 90. The price can be accounted for in a review only in cases where the game is multiplatform and on version is cheaper than the others.
