Right now at this point, it seems like Sony is rocketing ahead of the competition and Nintendo and Microsoft are battling for 2nd place. Does this sound familiar? Yes, pretty much exactly 6th generation. Here are 6th gen results by the end of the gen. (not dreamcast since it was discontinued pretty much as soon as the actual generation started so it's not fair to include it)
1. PS2- 155million
2. Xbox- 24million
3. GCN- 22million
It's slightly too early to tell if Sony will dominate this bad again. I don't think it will be as big of a gap. After seeing Watch Dogs and Mario Kart 8 numbers, if Sony does monolpolize the market again. I think Nintendo will be 2nd instead of 3rd. But I think it will be close between Xbone and Wii U. I think Wii U will sell inbetween anywhere from 35million-55million. You never know. Microsoft and Sony's is a bit harder to predict. (These numbers are probably not what's going to happen it'sjust IMO. Leave comments below and let me know if you think this will be a repeat of 6th generation.
