Japanese hardware sales in general are abysmal. Sony and Nintendo should both be looking very hard at what they can do to reinvigorate the Japanese hardware market, even the portable consoles are selling relatively poorly on a consistent basis.
Good start for Kart 8 software wise, a shame it's largely sold to the existing Wii U base in Japan. How does it compare for other opening weeks in the Kart franchise?
