Nah iPad's can never rival a new playstation/xbox in power. Especially now with systems like the PS4 already being profitable they can release new systems more frequently.

The Wii-U as a console with tablet controller however is doomed, if it wasn't already besides some strong first party titles. Wouldn't suprise me if the next iPad rivals the WIi-U in power.

ipads sure cant, but windows tabs will beat the xbone soon, the cpu is allready stronger(same goes for ps4, the i5 is just a beast) and the gpu will get there soon with intel putting shitloads of mney behind that.

nintendo is the only safe because of the firstparty games.  ms is the weakes in the bunch, they cant keep up with the other 2 and have to put down a lot of money to buy short wins with exclusiv 3rd party games.

Check your numbers, the CPU -is not- stronger, unless the PS4's CPU is a potato. Tablet i5's are low voltage, and slower than most standard laptop i5's by a significant margin. The i7's are slower as well. So the PS4 is likely more powerful in the CPU department. Windows tablets will not be getting any dedicated GPUs soon, and they won't be equalling or even rivaling consoles with the intel integrated graphics on the tablet processor die. The Intel HD graphics are underclocked on those for power saving.
