evev some of the better vita games are around 5 Gb. but true AAA is in the 20-40 Gb these days making apple a complete non-starter for me. i'd still have to add a controller (which would technically be a peripheral and we know how those are supported) and their still isn't an easy way to get the picture onto a tv without buying another device like chromecast. i'm not playing on a tablet screen, i didn't buy a big hdtv not to use it. they are currently no games and apple has no first party developers. they have a lot of work ahead of them for me to take them seriously. |
Even though I quoted an article related to ipads, I really think that storage is going to explode in the next 2-3 years. Cloud storage prices have dropped to almost nothing. THat will force these devices to come with much larger storage options. The makers of SSD will have to keep up price wise and so will the Apple/Microsoft/Amazon/Samsung's of the world. With game streaming being a likely future for games that will be gobbled up by the casuals (COD/HALO/GTA), the expectation of graphics will be lower than the AAA high end titles on PC or consoles. Every time one of these games(COD) comes out, everyone(mostly game forum dwellers) moans about how unimpressive the graphics and gameplay are. THe casuals love them. If you took all of the Assasins Creed and COD and GTA games and made them available to consumers on their tablets, the sales of the consoles would be crushed.
It is near the end of the end....
