Still believe sold through means shipped unless direct sourcing the number. No one doubted PS4 numbers at the time because it was sold out everywhere.


"Sold through" refers to moving a product through the entirety of a distribution chain (Producer -> Wholesaler -> Retailer -> Consumer) (Sometimes a wholesaler or retailer are skipped)

"Sold to" refers to moving a product only to the next link in the distribution chain. It would equal the term "shipped".
